If you spend time consuming many right-wing pundits you will have realized the Iran strikes have broken them.
We aren’t saying this to mean if you disagree with the strikes that you are broken. We aren’t saying that if you have questions about the endgame you are broken.
What we are saying is that if you can’t lay out the Trump strategy for Iran you are simply lying.
So many right-wing pundits who are correct on so much seem incapable of understanding something simple.
Here is the truth.
Why did Trump and his administration choose to strike now?
The administration understood that this is the weakest Iran would be. We don’t believe Iran was close to a nuke yet. We do believe they were going for one. If Trump waited two years, then Iran would be far more able to defend itself.
What is the endgame for Trump’s strategy?
Trump wants to mirror the strategy that led to the success of Venezuela. Now, Iran is not Venezuela. It will be far harder to pull it off. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be pulled off. It just means it will take longer. Trump is waiting to get to a leader who will stop going for nukes. It is that simple. Then the strikes will end. Not all that complex but it works.
It is a wonder so many can’t see this for what it is. It makes you think many are doing this on purpose.
Somehow, Bill Maher understood this better than so many right-wing pundits.
Bill Maher on the war with Iran: “I’m cautiously optimistic unless he puts boots on the ground… I just don’t get what liberals don’t get about liberation. I see so much happiness. I see it in Venezuela. I see it here in Iran. Could we skip the part where we talk about they had… pic.twitter.com/bOd6SJKrYG

We have covered a lot of what Bill Maher has said over the years. Bill Maher is an interesting case of someone on the left who calls out the left but then at the end of the day supports them anyway. On this issue he is correct.
