Trump Privately Fumed At GOP Lawmakers After Obama Video

Donald Trump was not happy with GOP lawmakers who publicly criticized him after the voter fraud video he posted.

At the end of the video, the beginning of another video played, depicting the Obamas as apes.

Hours after refusing to apologize for a racist video posted to his Truth Social account, President Donald Trump hadn’t let go.

He spent last weekend complaining to allies about Republicans who had condemned the video depicting the Obamas as apes, questioning the lawmakers’ loyalty and vowing consequences, sources familiar with his comments told CNN.

The president railed against South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott — the sole Black Republican senator and chair of the Senate GOP’s campaign arm — throughout the weekend at Mar-a-Lago, arguing one of his top congressional allies was out of line to call his White House racist, the sources said.

“The president felt he could’ve handled that matter privately,” a senior Trump administration official told CNN of Scott. “He was like, ‘We work together all the time. He didn’t need to comment publicly.’”

Trump had even stronger words for Alabama Sen. Katie Britt, one of the sources recalled, using expletives to denounce her and declaring that she was dead to him.

It seems pretty clear that the video was an auto play of another video. The idea that Donald Trump would have posted the video he posted with the next video starting for only two seconds makes no sense if he did it on purpose. The media knows this as well but pretends that isn’t the case.

The fact Donald Trump was not happy with Republican lawmakers further fuels that point. Trump is upset because he knows that these GOP Senators know Trump did not mean to have that portion posted.

Two things can be true at once.

Donald Trump needs to ensure that things like this don’t get posted from his account. The Trump administration has gotten so many wins in just over a year. Things like this give the media exactly what they want. Rather than talking about Trump’s border successes, inflation going down, mass deportations and so many other wins, we were talking about a Truth Social video.

It is also true that GOP Lawmakers running to attack Trump over what was a mistake from a staffer show they are more interested in virtue signaling then anything else. The correct response if asked publicly was simple.

“The President posted a voter fraud video that was edited wrong and included an auto play video”
