Nobody’s stock has jumped more in Donald Trump’s second term than that of Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State.
With all of the successes of the Trump administration on foreign policy this isn’t shocking.
This has led to Marco Rubio to officially be the 2028 favorite according to Kalshi.

This shows you the issue with these odds markets. They are driven entirely by narrative. Marco Rubio has been a great Secretary of State. He has done his job nearly perfectly. He is enacting Trump’s foreign policy beautifully. That does not mean Marco Rubio will be able to hold together the Trump coalition.
This is the exact reason we have been really disheartened from many on the right. Everyone who is pushing Rubio 2028 is doing so as a way to attack JD Vance. This shouldn’t work. It might work if conservative influencers like Tucker Carlson continue to lose credibility with their coverage of Trump’s foreign policy.
We would love to see a JD Vance-Marco Rubio ticket. We think they would work well together. If right-wing influencers in alternative media don’t get it together, they will give the establishment a chance to retake the party in 2028.
